We recently created a series of short videos that address concerns some customers have regarding Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI).
The videos are available at www.IREA.coop/ami-videos and address the topics of Billing Accuracy, Government & Third Parties, Personal Privacy, Data Security and Fire Danger. We plan to continue to add new videos on other topics over time.
New meters are scheduled to be installed by the end of 2020 throughout our entire service territory. They will allow us to increase reliability, better monitor demand and give you the ability to track your usage. They also will allow us to consider additional cost-savings programs, pre-payment plans and a wider variety of rates.
