Brighten someone’s day with a donation to EOC

Thousands of Coloradans struggle to pay for the energy needed to heat their homes. Recent job losses due to COVID-19 have made it even more difficult.

You can help by making a tax-deductible donation to the non-profit Energy Outreach Colorado (EOC), which covers home energy costs and furnace repairs for low-income Coloradans, and provides energy-efficiency improvements for non-profit and affordable housing facilities. You can double that help by donating as an IREA customer. Each year we match our customers’ contributions dollar for dollar, up to $75,000.

Last year customers’ and IREA’s combined donations reached $55,000. Let’s work together to reach $150,000 combined donations in 2020.

• To sign up for a monthly contribution to be added to your IREA bill, fill out this online form.

• To make a one-time or monthly donation, or to ensure your donation goes toward IREA customers in need, contact EOC directly at (303) 825-8750. You must state at the time of donation if you want your contribution to go to IREA customers. You can also ask that your donation benefit IREA customers of a specific Colorado town.

• You may also sign up for one-time or monthly EOC donations by filling out the sign-up form on the reverse side of the payment remittance portion of your mailed monthly bill. Completed forms can be mailed back with your IREA payment in the provided envelope.

Donations are tax-deductible and EOC will mail you a receipt. Thank you to those who have already contributed, and to anyone considering a donation.
