POSITION: Environmental, Health and Safety Director
SALARY: ($150,396 – $183,348)
QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Occupational Health and Safety, Business Administration, or related degree is required. Directly related experience may substitute for education. Fifteen years experience in the electric utility industry; five years of safety program supervisory or leadership experience required. Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of safety, accident and loss prevention, safety equipment, training methods, industrial hygiene practices and possess a Certified Safety Professional certification (CSP).
BASIC DUTIES: Responsible to the Chief Operating Officer, the Environmental, Health and Safety Director (EHS Director) is responsible for leadership of a comprehensive organization-wide safety and technical training program, ensuring a safe work environment for all employees, and positively guiding CORE to high engagement in a strong safety culture. The position is responsible for the design, implementation, and coordination of all programs related to CORE’s safety and compliance activities and directly supervises the Safety Inspector(s) and safety support staff.
