Service Desk Administrator I


$60,396 – $80,940 (PSM-1)


High school diploma or equivalent certificate, Minimum 2 years in a Service Desk environment, Valid Colorado driver’s license with satisfactory driving record within CORE’s standards. Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Project; Experience with Windows 7 and Windows10 workstation environments, Experience with HP and Xerox printers for configuration and deployment. Experience with iOS and Android systems, both physical and software. Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM)/Endpoint Protection is required. Experience with Dell hardware, Comp TIA A+ or Google IT Support Professional Certificate is preferred.

Basic Duties

Responsible to the Applications and End User Computing Manager. The Service Desk Administrator I will provide user assistance with routine inquiries and problems such as hardware, software, and network operations through our IT Ticketing system. Responds to and diagnoses problems through discussions with users; includes problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution steps, and determination and documentation of root cause. Ensures all issues are categorized and reported. Advise users on appropriate course of action. Able to resolve the lesser complex problems immediately while troubleshooting more complex problems through to resolution or escalation, if needed. Creates knowledge articles for end user self-service. First contact and face of IT. Must have great listening, communication, and teaching skills.
