On Tuesday, Oct. 28, CORE officially broke ground on Canyon Peak Power, a new natural gas peaking plant developed in partnership with Kindle Energy. Located near Bennett, this facility marks a significant step in strengthening reliability while advancing our clean energy goals.
Representatives from Kindle Energy, Mountain Peak Power, Stanley Engineering, GE Vernova and Fagen, Inc. joined CORE for a groundbreaking ceremony celebrating this innovative collaboration.
“This plant plays a key role in our long-term strategy to balance renewable energy with dependable generation. When the wind doesn’t blow and the sun doesn’t shine, this plant will quickly generate the power our members depend on.”
— Pam Feuerstein, CORE Chief Executive Officer
Canyon Peak Power will provide generation to complement renewable resources, ensuring CORE members have reliable energy when it matters most.
