April 2026 Severe Wildfire Risk

Tuesday, April 21

Severe wildfire risk is expected in the coming days for much of the Front Range, including CORE’s service area. We plan to engage alternate relay settings (ARS) Wednesday, April 22, throughout our system to mitigate the risk of fire ignition. While ARS are engaged, our system will be more sensitive to faults such as trees on lines. Any outages that occur while ARS are engaged are unplanned, but might lead to extended outages for some members while crews patrol affected lines to identify and repair issues. We appreciate members’ patience as we work to ensure the safety of our communities.

Please use our online Outage Center (www.CORE.coop/outage-center) to report and monitor service interruptions, and report downed lines/poles and other hazards via (800) 332-9540.
