CORE Electric Cooperative Selects Mark Jurgemeyer as New COO

CORE is pleased to announce Mark Jurgemeyer as CORE’s new Chief Operating Officer.

Mark has been with CORE for 10 years as Engineering Director and has been responsible for CORE’s project management, design and construction administration for substation, transmission and distribution systems. He has been an integral part of the immense growth of our system, continued safety protocol advancements and leads an exceptional team in Engineering.

Mark has been a principal member of National Electrical Safety Code Subcommittee 5 (Overhead Lines, Strength and Loading) since 2009 and will serve as Chair of the Subcommittee for the 2028 Code. He has served on multiple Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standards committees and was selected to be a Peer Reviewer for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Manuals and Reports on Engineering Practice No. 141, “Wood Poles for Electrical Transmission Lines.” Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder
