CORE has signed a power purchase agreement with a subsidiary of Invenergy for 200 MW of solar and 100 MW of 4-hour duration lithium battery storage to be located near Pueblo, Colorado.
Sundance Solar
Sundance Solar is under construction and scheduled to start generating power in late 2026. Located in Elbert County, northeast of Kiowa, Colorado, the facility will produce 75 MW of solar energy across multiple parcels next to a CORE distribution substation. CORE will purchase all of its output under a long-term agreement. Once operational, Sundance is expected to generate about 200,000 MWh annually. The site will also include a 50 MW lithium-based battery storage system with a four-hour capacity, providing added flexibility and reliability.
CORE is engaged in discussions with various developers for an additional 100 MW of battery storage projects, which are set to be announced later in 2025.
