CORE celebrates National Lineworker Appreciation Day

On Thursday, April 17, CORE joined Colorado utilities in celebration of Colorado Lineworker Appreciation Day at the Capitol. The Colorado General Assembly recognized lineworkers from multiple Colorado electric utilities on the Senate floor with a tribute from Senator Exum and Senator Simpson.

CORE’s extensive system improvement and wildfire mitigation programs mean crews spend their days repairing or replacing electrical lines and components. They often face tough terrain, inclement weather, and complex problems to solve. Crews are often the first responders during storms and other emergencies, prepared to handle the everyday unexpected power interruptions as well as outages due to dangerous and catastrophic events.

“I am proud to celebrate CORE’s lineworkers today and everyday. They are key to grid resiliency and step up to any challenge to keep our communities powered and safe,” said CORE CEO Pam Feuerstein.

“I think as linemen, one of the biggest battles is constantly evolving and overcoming the hurdles that get thrown at us because nothing’s textbook. Adapting and overcoming is what we do on the daily,” said Kris Onda, Conifer Journeyman Lineman.

Thank you to our dedicated lineworkers who work tirelessly to provide our members The Energy to Thrive.
