Notice of vacancy of District 6 board seat
The seat for Director District 6 on CORE Electric Cooperative’s Board of Directors is vacant due to the recent departure of Robert Graf. In accordance with CORE’s bylaws, the vacancy will be filled by a majority vote of the remaining board members.
Eligible District 6 members interested in representing their district on CORE’s Board of Directors are invited to submit letters of interest and résumés by Tuesday, March 17, via the form below. A printable version of the form is available here.
Per CORE’s bylaws, to be eligible to serve as a director, a member must:
- Be an individual 18 years of age or older;
- Be a member of the cooperative;
- Purchase electric energy within his or her director district; and
- Not be a current employee of the cooperative, or formerly employed by the cooperative within the past five years.
The remaining board members will review letters and résumés, conduct interviews and select a replacement who, along with the rest of the board, will make decisions regarding CORE’s general policies and direct the chief executive officer to implement those policies. The appointment to the District 6 seat will end with the current term, which expires in April 2027, when District 6’s regularly scheduled election takes place.
