CORE Electric Cooperative Selects Chris Hildred as First CESO

CORE is pleased to announce Chris Hildred as our first Chief Energy Supply Officer (CESO), effective March 30.

Chris brings a wealth of experience and leadership to this new role, having served CORE as Power Supply Director since 2018. His outstanding work in negotiating power purchase agreements for over 1,400 MW of new long-term generation and storage resources, and his innovative approach to retail rate modernization, have been critical in positioning CORE for a resilient energy future.

Prior to joining CORE, Chris was the Power Supply & Special Projects Supervisor for Holy Cross Energy. He earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Engineering Physics and Engineering (Mechanical Specialty) from Colorado School of Mines.

As Chief Energy Supply Officer, Chris will oversee and execute our planning, procurement and management of energy resources. He will ensure CORE maintains a reliable, cost-effective energy supply, while providing leadership across energy markets, power purchase agreements, generation planning and regulatory compliance.
