CORE readies system for expected extreme winds

CORE is committed to protecting members, employees and our grid from wildfires. In anticipation of extreme winds in parts of our service area Wednesday, Dec. 15, we have increased the sensitivity settings of our system’s monitoring and protective devices. These more sensitive settings will allow us to better respond to trees on our lines and other potential fire hazards, but might cause service interruptions for some members. We appreciate your patience during any interruptions that might occur as we work to reduce fire risk. For more information about our comprehensive wildfire mitigation plan, visit www.CORE.coop/wildfire-mitigation.

Call us immediately at (800) 332-9540 to report a downed power line or tree on our line, and maintain a distance of at least 10 feet.
