CORE is pleased to announce Anne Zellner Sherwood as our General Counsel. The General Counsel provides critical legal guidance and innovative solutions to align legal and business strategies to achieve CORE’s goals.
Anne joins us from Xcel Energy where she served as Lead Assistant General Counsel – Colorado Regulatory Legal and most recently as Area Vice President – Wildfire Mitigation, Regulatory and Policy. She brings extensive experience in policy legislation, rate cases, regulatory support for cost recovery, and wildfire mitigation from her almost five years at Xcel. Additionally, Anne has a proven track record in litigation, mediation, and legal research and analysis. She is an accomplished speaker and deeply involved in various community organizations.
Anne holds a Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law and a B.A in Political Science from Wheaton College. Her academic background, combined with her professional experience, makes her exceptionally qualified to oversee CORE’s legal function.
