Community Donations & Sponsorships

As part of our mission to connect lives and communities through choice and innovation, CORE partners with local programs, businesses and organizations.

CORE accepts requests for monetary donations, sponsorships and other community-related outreach opportunities and events.

If your organization would like to be considered for a donation or sponsorship, please review the important information below, then fill out an application and submit any packets so we can better understand your organization and its purpose. You will need to submit a new application for each donation request.

• Nonprofits and/or organizations in the CORE Electric Cooperative’s service territory that serve CORE members.

• Any 501(c)(3) or other IRS designated non-profit organization that may include schools, government organizations (towns, counties or municipalities).

• Donations must serve a public purpose and be consistent with CORE’s donation and sponsorship guidelines.

• Funding requests for utility-related infrastructure, relocations or installations are not applicable and will not be considered.

• Organizations must be a nonprofit organization recognized by the IRS.

• Contributions will not be made to benefit specific individuals.

• Support will not be provided for use solely for religious purposes. Support for school organization with educational or charitable purposes will not be deemed for religious purposes solely because the school or organization is affiliated with religious group.

• No support will be awarded for the express purpose of travel by individuals or groups.

Contributions are often given for the following:

• Community service programs and projects

• Education and youth programs and projects

• Community-based health and wellbeing programs and projects

• First responder support programs and projects

• Social service programs/projects (food pantry, crisis centers, emergency and elderly assistance)

• Other nonprofits that improve CORE communities
