CORE sent 10 apprentices, two teams consisting of three journeymen linemen, and three judges to the Mile High Lineman’s Rodeo. The rodeo events are based on traditional lineman tasks that are critical to the jobs the employees perform every day. The Journeyman Lineman category consisted of four events: pole climb, hurt-man rescue and two mystery events. The Apprentice category consisted of five events: pole climb, hurt-man rescue, written test and two mystery events.
Not only did CORE give it our all on the rodeo grounds, but we were also able to build comradery, make new connections, and admire the dedication and craftsmanship required of our Journeymen Linemen.
Some key highlights include:
• One CORE Team placed 1st in the Journeyman Hurt-man Rescue
• One CORE Apprentice placed 1st as the Top Overall Apprentice
• One CORE Team placed 3rd in the Journeyman Mystery Event #2
• One CORE Apprentice placed 2nd in the Apprentice Mystery Event #2
