Remember to contact 811 before you break ground on any project this summer.
Colorado 811, the non-profit tasked with coordinating the state’s one-call utility location system, is serving Coloradans despite social distancing and other COVID-19-related issues.
Request a free utility locate by calling 811 or visiting www.Colorado811.org at least three business days before you start digging of any extent or depth. This includes simple gardening or landscaping. Professional utility locators will use flags and paint to mark the locations of underground electric, gas, cable, phone and other lines within the designated area.
Digging without a utility locate can result in service interruptions, heavy fines, expensive repairs, bodily injury and even death.
