Members to elect directors in Districts 1, 2, 4 and 6

The seats for districts 1, 2, 4 and 6 on IREA’s Board of Directors are up for reelection this year. As this issue of Watts and Volts goes to print it appears at least three seats will be contested. All members in districts where seats are contested are encouraged to vote. Member participation in elections is a key attribute of a cooperative and ensures governance that serves customers’ interests.

Ballots for districts with contested seats will be mailed out by March 14. Members who have been sent a ballot may vote by mailing back their voted ballots, or in person at the IREA annual meeting to be held at IREA headquarters, 5496 N. U.S. Highway 85, Sedalia, CO at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13. Voting by proxy is not permitted.

Voted mail-in ballots must be received by the independent vendor conducting the election, Survey & Ballot Systems, on or before Friday, April 12. Ballots should not be returned or mailed directly to IREA.

For questions regarding the election, or to obtain a replacement ballot, please call (303) 688-3100, ext. 5546.
