Planned Outages

CORE Electric Cooperative must, on occasion, schedule outages as maintenance and improvements are performed. We typically give ample notice of planned outages via automated phone calls and/or mailed letters.

Below is a current list of planned outages. It does not include all planned outages, as some require service interruption for only a few members.

Bergen Park: Tuesday, Aug. 16 & Wednesday, Aug. 17

Electric service will be interrupted for approximately 1,500 CORE members from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, as CORE’s wholesale power provider, Xcel Energy, performs important maintenance and fire mitigation work on the transmission line that serves the Bergen Park area north of Evergreen.

We expect service to be back on from 5 p.m. each evening to 8 a.m. the following morning. Affected members will receive additional information via mailed letters, emails, automated phone calls and text messages.

We understand that there is never a convenient time for a power outage. If you cannot go without electricity during the planned outage periods, consider purchasing or renting a generator. It is recommended that an electrician install the generator for your safety. Also, keep refrigerators and freezers closed to preserve cold food.
